More rain...more pain

I have been under the weather so to speak...when Lupus flares up you have no energy...all you want to do is sleep and more sleep. The meds can make sleep even worse. Since the weather has been rainy, this causes your body to ache even more than normal...if there is a normal. One day your pain will be in your back muscles and the next can in your legs. Lupus flares can last for days and even weeks for some. It can be depressing since most of the time you feel isolated from family and friends, no creative muse...you just want to stay home. I am so thankful for a patient and loving DH. He really takes care of me when I can't get around the house or do things for him or the dear Bostons.

Sorry for the down post this evening. Just wanted you to have a peek at the pain with Lupus...and why I don't post as often as I would like on my blog. I am hoping to scan some vintage postcards and greetings cards to share with you later this week. The one positive thing we did this weekend...Gulf Shores is booked for July!

Wishing you a wonderful week!
Hugs, Sharon

I am so sorry you are not up to par. I know how you feel. I have been under the weather for a little over two weeks. Went for tests Friday and will see the Dr. on Tuesday. I'm not in pain, just cold and want to sleep all time. Hope the weather gets warm and sunny early this year. You take care.
Love and hugs, Pat

Hi Sharon,

I want to thank you for posting
about your Lupus, it is a very hard thing to deal with pain all the time I understand as I have pain all the time too. I find my art is very theraputic for me but on my bad days that does not even help. God bless you and I do not feel quite as alone now reading your post.
I was diagnosed with a positive ANA
about three years ago now, and suffer with pain all the the time.
one Dr. has said I have Lupus the other Dr. is leaning more towards
RA, I also have Fibromyalgia among other various annoying physical problems. Can you believe I finally
got all of my Christmas things put away...took too long for me this time. Anyway...thanks Sharon and
a very careful but big hug to you
dear lady!! Love Susan in Georgia.

I'm so sorry you're feeling achy. I think it's good to share reality sometimes on blogs, even though we all like posting positive things. Life is often hard.
I hope you'll be feeling better this week.

blessings,
Lorrie

Sharon,
I couldn't believe my eyes when your blog was the first that met my eyes when I decided to post my the pics of my new finds. Thank you for blogging about lupus, I have Sjogren's Syndrome, my mom has lupus. I just began blogging about my illness for myself on my blog page. I've labeled it "4me-Sjogren's Syndrome Diary" cause it's not always a fun, uplifting and thought it should come with a warning for those looking for something happy! :) Anyway I'm grateful for your post because I haven't worked for going on 2 years and the house does get lonely. And I do hate the way a flare up impedes my cognitive ability...my creativity fly's right out the window. I feel a bit more at home on the blog circuit after reading your blog. I've only been blogging since last December. Thanks so very much. dawnlyne-Washington

So sorry to hear about your pains and trouble getting around. I will be praying for you to feel better. Planning a getaway helps think of times when you will feel better.
Appreciate what you do post here and come back when you feel better.

Sharon, Just wanted to let you know that I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. It does a person good to talk about what ails them because there are others who have illness just like yours. I have back pain that I deal with and hopefully will get some answers tomorrow when I see the doctors. I belong to a support group that help because we are there for each other. You take care
