Snowing here today...

It is snowing here today. I thought I would share some of my vintage Valentines with you. I scanned 4 Ellen Clapsaddle Valentines this morning. These are vintage Valentines that I purchased last year. I did not clean the images so there is some fading on the edges.

Here are some of my vintage finds. I am a collector of vintage jewelry and books.
I added some of my handmade vintage inspired gift tags.

I am feeling better this week. Thank you for your kind comments to my earlier post.
Wishing you a wonderful creative weekend!

More rain...more pain

I have been under the weather so to speak...when Lupus flares up you have no energy...all you want to do is sleep and more sleep. The meds can make sleep even worse. Since the weather has been rainy, this causes your body to ache even more than normal...if there is a normal. One day your pain will be in your back muscles and the next can in your legs. Lupus flares can last for days and even weeks for some. It can be depressing since most of the time you feel isolated from family and friends, no creative muse...you just want to stay home. I am so thankful for a patient and loving DH. He really takes care of me when I can't get around the house or do things for him or the dear Bostons.

Sorry for the down post this evening. Just wanted you to have a peek at the pain with Lupus...and why I don't post as often as I would like on my blog. I am hoping to scan some vintage postcards and greetings cards to share with you later this week. The one positive thing we did this weekend...Gulf Shores is booked for July!

Wishing you a wonderful week!
Hugs, Sharon

Please add Mary at Daisy Boutique (her blog is on my sidebar) to your prayer list. Her daughter lost her home last night to a fire. The family is safe but needs help. New Tags and Special Orders

I have made some new romantic gift tags. I embellished a mailing tag with new and vintage papers, ribbons, a scanned copy of a vintage postcard from my collection, and rhinestones. I thought these would be beautiful additions to your Valentine's Day gift or for that special bridal or wedding gift. I will be adding these to my Etsy shop this weekend.

Here are some photos of special orders for Birthday and Valentine's Day gift tags. I thought I would share the photos with you. These were mailed on Thursday this week...thank you ladies for your special orders!

I wanted to mention something about an email from a blogger regarding my gift tags...she stated that she did not appreciate my selling my gift tags on Etsy for "such low prices" and that I was causing some Etsy sellers to lower their prices. Well...I make my tags as a hobby...to allow for the days that I cannot get out of our home due to illness. I am not selling my tags to make tons of money...only to reimburse me for my supplies to purchase more supplies. I am not going to say I am sorry for your distress...enough said!
Please accept my apology for this last portion of this post to all of my loyal followers. I want to thank all of the ladies that have purchased my gift tags...especially those of you that have been repeat customers! Additionally, I want to thank you for your friendship and your kind comments left on my blog last year.
