I hope everyone has had a wonderful week! This post has lots of photos so please be patient for the upload.
Here are some vintage linen hand towels I embellished with vintage lace and buttons. These lovelies will be posted in my Etsy store this weekend.
Here are two photos of our antique window collection. I just love the old windows! The following photos are some of what I am calling my vintage stash. This is a shadow box I made using a vintage image, lace, bottle, and jewelry. This is one of the August design projects for the Shabby Cottage Studio. I am planning on listing a LOT of fabrics from my collection in the next couple of weeks. So please check back often as I will provide information on the listings. Hope everyone has a great and safe weekend! Hugs, Sharon
This is a photo I altered in Photoshop using a vintage image.
For these digital collages I used digital papers and element by Susan at Raspberry Road Designs. She offers freebies weekly and beautiful digital kits...so check out her store! The second digital collage I used an altered photo from Gail Schmidt at Shabby Cottage Studio. Visit her store for wonderful items for your art.
Our trip was wonderful! Don had a great time visiting his family. My sister and niece went with on this trip. It was great just to relax and enjoy family! I will be posting some photos of our trip and my vintage finds next week.
I applied/signed up for a new shop ~ LolliShops. I have read about the new website on other artist blogs. So when I received an invite...felt honored. Looking forward to creating some whimsical art for sale!
Hope everyone has a great and safe weekend! Sharon
My blog focuses on my vintage discoveries and treasures, and a showcase for some of my favorite vintage inspired handcrafted items and collectibles. I offer free vintage postcard images from my collection. I am a self taught mixed media artist...so please join me on my journey of searching for vintage and antiques for repurposing. Making old memories new again!
Normal day, let me be aware of the treasure you are. Let me learn from you, love you, bless you before you depart. Let me not pass you by in quest of some rare and perfect tomorrow. Let me hold you while I may, for it may not always be so. One day I shall dig my nails into the earth, or bury my face in the pillow, or stretch myself taut, or raise my hands to the sky and want, more than all the world, your return. ~ Mary Jean Iron
