Art...what inspires you?

I hope everyone is having a great week!

I have been working on organizing my art/sewing studio the past several weeks. I have come to realize that I really miss sewing and creating art! As sorting through things in the studio, I found so many inspirations! Vintage jewelry (my favorite!), fabrics, trims, laces, collectible photos, books...just to name a few.

The sun was not out today but I wanted to take some photos of my many inspirations found in my studio. So I am hoping Thursday brings a sunny day for taking some photos to share with you.

Last night I did some searching on art groups, ATCs, collages...and found some new blogs (to me they are new!) that are wonderful and full of inspiration. Inspiration doesn't mean copying the art of another artist and selling it as your own creations...I have seen this happen to many sellers selling digital collage sheets. Inspiration should be an idea from a magazine or blog...taking that idea and making your "unique" creation using what inspires you most.

I will be sharing with you later this week some photos of my new art and what inspires me from my studio.

Thank you for your wonderful comments this week!

Like you many things inspire me to create, I have taken a breather but I can feel my crafting mood coming back to me, don't you love it when that happens !

I was cleaning today too. Going through my material. I made me a new top yesterday and seperated the material today. I have some I would like to make some purses with and some for pillows. Now I just have to find the time.
Hope you are feeling fine. Can't wait to see your pictures.

Sharon, I can't find an email address for you--I just realized that you'd left me a comment and a question the other day! I'm sorry I took so long to respond--I am going to try and add you as a friend on Gothic Arches--I don't know if that will work, because I think I need your email, but I'll try--you can go to, also, or you can leave Nancy Maxwell James a request ( and she will help you--she helped me, and I can't remember exactly what she did, but she is the facilitator of that group and she'll add you! Have a great weekend! ~Jann
