Creative Friday...but it's Thursday?

I know it's Thursday!

But DH and I are leaving town for a long weekend. Just the two of us...no four legged children.

Altered Vintage Lace Journal

This is what I have been working on the past week. I finished the final stages today.

I have named my journal Vintage Lace Romance. There are several layers of vintage lace and trim on both the front and back of this journal. I have also added a tea dyed silk rose embellished with a vintage aurora borealis earring.
Just to add more shabbiness to this journal is a sweet vintage linen hankie that has French knots and appliqued flowers.

I listed this OOAK journal in my Etsy shop this evening.

Easter Swap and Vintage Finds

This is a display of my vintage finds. I stopped by an antique mall on my way grocery shopping yesterday. It was such a beautiful day here.

Just look at the pretties! Some may be included in my May blog give away.

The May blog give away will be a special one.

It will include some art pieces from some of my favorite bloggers.

Just look at this vintage purse! It is so pretty. There is a some damage to the fabric but is still such a pretty vintage find.
I am thinking of altering it...well really adding some pretties to the handbag for a hanging collage.

This is what I received in the mail this week from Deb at Garage Sale Gal. We have had several holiday swaps. This is our Easter swap which included a handmade tussie. Deb was so generous with all of my goodies!

This is a close up of the tussie Debbie made. It is so pretty. I have it hanging in my hearth area on an antique cabinet so I can enjoy each day while having morning coffee and reading the newspaper.

Has this happened to you? This week has been a tug of war on emotions for me...do I create or do I clean? So needless to say I feel as though I haven't accomplished much this week. So my creative Friday will be spent cleaning instead of creating.
