Art...what inspires you?

I hope everyone is having a great week!

I have been working on organizing my art/sewing studio the past several weeks. I have come to realize that I really miss sewing and creating art! As sorting through things in the studio, I found so many inspirations! Vintage jewelry (my favorite!), fabrics, trims, laces, collectible photos, books...just to name a few.

The sun was not out today but I wanted to take some photos of my many inspirations found in my studio. So I am hoping Thursday brings a sunny day for taking some photos to share with you.

Last night I did some searching on art groups, ATCs, collages...and found some new blogs (to me they are new!) that are wonderful and full of inspiration. Inspiration doesn't mean copying the art of another artist and selling it as your own creations...I have seen this happen to many sellers selling digital collage sheets. Inspiration should be an idea from a magazine or blog...taking that idea and making your "unique" creation using what inspires you most.

I will be sharing with you later this week some photos of my new art and what inspires me from my studio.

Hope everyone is having a great weekend! The weather is so hot here...so we are just staying in to keep cool. I have a new computer but PhotoShop for some reason is not working. That is why I cannot share with you any photos of my vintage finds from Friday.

Nancy's Art and Gifts

I participated in an Easter swap with Nancy. I know....this is late in posting! But I wanted to share with you Nancy's art and her gifts to me. She sent me my Easter swap but with the mail being undeliverable or lost sometimes I did not receive her swap goodies. She sent me these goodies recently. Her Spring banner is full of wonderful details! She made 2 vintage inspired ATCs and an envelope for them....so pretty! She send me a beaded bracelet and some vintage buttons. Holiday

I hope you are having a great week! We are having a heat wave already! Heat Index here today is 106 degrees! So when the sun starts to go down this evening we will be watering the plants and yard!
I have here for your art work some free images. Some I have altered in PhotoShop. Enjoy!

I have been working on some vintage finds....a vintage travel case and photo frames....altered mixed media art. I am hoping to share some photos next week.
