Our son, Andrew, is returning from Iraq on Sunday. My husband is so excited about his homecoming! He will be on his way to West Point for his next and final assignment within the next couple of weeks. This is photo of Andrew and his dad before he left for Iraq. We are SO proud of him!

Congratulations on your son coming home! We are so grateful for his bravery and service to our country. I work for PBS Television and have been working with outreach projects connected to Ken Burn's THE WAR on PBS. Even though the 7 part documentary is about WWII, it has given me such an insight to the everyday sacrifices and bravery these men and women give to us everyday. I'm SO glad he will be returning to you. Please give him my heartfelt thanks!
ReplyDeleteI have a nephew going to Iraq in December and had a step grandson in Afghanistan, so the feeling is close to home.
